See you on November 17, 2008!

How do you calculate the value of a life saved?  Your health?  Your marriage? Or the relationship with your children?

How do you calculate the value of learning to BALANCE the stress of a career in law enforcement with your family and your health?

You cannot put a price on it but you can put a NAME on it and for most of us, that name is:

Aubrey “Bulldog” Futrell

Project Manager LT. Aubrey Futrell has spent his life teaching Law Enforcement, mostly officer survival, both physical and mental. The last several years in particular his teaching has concentrated on saving officers' lives and families by dealing with officer stress and providing debriefing after traumatic events.

> Aubrey's wife Lesa has suffered with severe cancer for five years and they have been living between Jackson, MS and MD Anderson in Houston.  See the update below.
> Aubrey lost his 31 year old son 4 years ago in June
> Aubrey lost his youngest daughter Stephanie to a motorcycle accident just two weeks ago (June of 08)

One bright spot – Aubrey’s sister Gretta had surgery on what they thought was cancer a couple of weeks ago and she is doing GREAT and expects a full recovery!!!

Lesa Aubrey’s wife is also a member of the Law Enforcement family as an investigator for the Mississippi Crime Lab.

Through his years of teaching survival skills, both physical and mental he has saved the lives, sanity and families of thousands of law enforcement and emergency responders.  He has certainly earned his place in heaven. However, right now he is going through hell. Aubrey’s wife, Lesa, has been battling cancer for the past 4 ½ years. Lesa and Aubrey have met every challenge with that positive, head-on Bulldog fashion agreeing to aggressive treatments in both Jackson and Houston at the M D Anderson Medical Center.  However, this type of war exhausts you in so many ways: mentally, physically, spiritually, your leave time at work and financially.

· If anyone can, Aubrey can handle the mental aspect

· The physical aspect is in the hands of the doctors

· God will support them spiritually

· The leave aspect is beyond our control

The financial aspect, however, is one area we as friends and devoted fans of the “Bulldog” can help relieve some of their stress by giving. Your support in these efforts will restore BALANCE!

The GSRCPI Family is challenging EVERY individual and law enforcement entity (Police Department, Sheriffs’ Office/Department, Law Enforcement Association, State Agency, Academy Class, Fraternal Order of Police Chapter, Trooper, Wildlife Agent, Officer, Deputy, etc.) to show support, love and appreciation to “Bulldog” for all the years and quality he has added to our lives by conducting a fundraising drive or by simply making a contribution through direct donation. Your efforts will raise support for the Futrell family in their fight against cancer!!

Please feel free to contact Aubrey and Lesa by mail or email, or make a donation to the Futrell Cancer Fund and help them continue fighting.  Charity events for Aubrey and Lesa and locations where Aubrey will be teaching will be posted on this site, feel free to drop by and let them know if they have made a difference in your life.
